YSWS stands for “You ship, we ship” and is the umbrella name for online Hack Club programs. The name comes from what they do. You ship projects (hardware, software, coding, PCBs etc) following a theme or guidelines set by the YSWS and they ship rewards.
The rewards are usually from a shop or a specific item for completing a project in the YSWS. Usually they utilize a shop, where you can exchange hours spent coding as a currency into shop items. The items can vary depending on the scope and theme of the program, and can include anything from 3D printers to laptops, or stickers, so many stickers!
Personally ive gotten quite a lot of stuff:
- A ton of stickers
- Fudge
- Laptop grants that covered half of the cost of my macbook
- An ESP-32 starter kit
- And more!
